Before Jesus Changed My Life
Before Jesus changed my life, I was just a little version of myself. I spent my weekends going out, drinking, and trying to fill a void I didn’t understand. I was stuck in a horrible relationship, battling deep depression, and constantly feeling like I wasn’t enough. I thought the only way to deal with how little I saw myself was to take the easy way out. Even though I was slowly starting to turn my thoughts toward God, I didn’t have the right motivation. I wasn’t letting him be my source of redemption, I was still trying to fix things my own way. One night while I was out drinking with friends, I got into a deep conversation with a close family friend. I opened up to him about my life and everything I’d been carrying. He looked at me and said, “The only way out is to call on Jesus.” Then he told me I needed to go to church with him and his family the very next morning, no matter what. That next morning changed everything. When I went to church with him and his family, the pastor began speaking about the exact things my friend and I had talked about the night before. Every word felt like it was directed straight at me. It was as if God was sitting right there, talking to my heart, letting me know that he heard me, saw me, and had been waiting for me to come home. Around this same time, I met my boyfriend, who has been one of my biggest motivators, second only to Christ himself. I truly believe God placed him in my life to help me grow, to push me closer to Jesus, and to show me that love can be pure and encouraging when it’s rooted in faith.
How Jesus Changed My Life
The moment I decided to surrender everything to Jesus, I finally understood what true peace felt like. I realized that all the things I had been chasing relationships, attention, distractions, could never fill the emptiness inside me. Only Jesus could. I confessed my sins, accepted him as my Lord and Savior, and began to build my relationship with him day by day. I started reading his Word, praying, and surrounding myself with people who encouraged my faith. Through his grace, Jesus showed me that I’m not who I used to be, I’m forgiven, renewed, and deeply loved. My life isn’t perfect now, but it’s purposeful. I wake up every day knowing I have a reason to live, to serve, to grow, and to walk in the light of the one who saved me.
My Life After Jesus Saved Me
Since giving my life to Jesus, everything about me has changed. My heart feels lighter, my mind clearer, and my purpose stronger. I no longer live for myself, I live to glorify him in everything I do. Before I make decisions or face challenges, I pray. I take time to ask what Jesus would want me to do instead of reacting from my own emotions. That small shift has brought a peace I never knew I needed. There’s a deep kind of joy that comes from knowing I’m never alone, that no matter what I face, God is always by my side. When life feels heavy, I don’t run to the world anymore; I run to him. I turn to prayer, to worship, and to his Word. That’s where I find comfort and direction when I start to feel lost. My hope now rests in Jesus alone. I don’t depend on the temporary things of this world to make me happy, because I know true joy comes from the one who saved me. Even in the hard days, I know he’s using every moment to shape me into who he’s called me to be. I still have so much to learn, and I know my walk with Christ is a lifelong journey, but I’m excited to keep growing in my faith. I want to build a future where my family can see what it means to be rooted in God. Where my children can see that the love their dad and I share comes from something holy, something far greater than ourselves. That’s the kind of love only God can create. This world doesn’t hold me the way it once did. My eyes are fixed on Heaven now. I have a peace that can’t be taken away and a hope that never fades, because my life and my eternity belong to Jesus.
