Before Jesus Changed My Life

I have struggled with sin for many years as a young adult. I have believed as long as I can remember that Jesus is God and the truth of the Bible, but did not truly know Him, and was immature in my faith and my walk with God. I was trying to fix myself on my own strength; I was prideful and blind to the true path of deliverance of my sin, which caused me to stumble again and again.

How Jesus Changed My Life

I prayed to God for years to help me and save me from my sin and my own arrogance. Romans 10:9-10 says, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved." His endless grace has delivered me from my sinful life and has fulfilled me in ways I did not even expect. His deliverance was so much more than I deserved, and I will be thankful for Him for the rest of my life. 2 Corinthians 5:17 states, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”  I owe my entire life to Him, and everything good in my life comes from Him.

My Life After Jesus Saved Me

I am not trying to say I live a perfect life, I still have problems I pray about every day, but it is clear to me that I was saved when I did nothing to deserve saving, and I could have never in a million years have gotten myself out of my situation without Jesus' endless love and grace. I know I have eternal life through Jesus Christ because He is faithful and He loves me, and I love Him. I believe with all my heart that He has washed me clean in the eyes of God with His own blood, and that since I have called on Him to save me, He has.
