Before Jesus Changed My Life

Before Jesus, I was broken. I was chasing things of the world, and I was always in my room playing video games, avoiding my problems. I had a serious problem with lustful thoughts, intentions, and actions and struggled with these for a long time. There were a lot of consequences with how I handled my problems, and I knew I couldn’t do it alone, and I needed a Savior.

How Jesus Changed My Life

One night, I was out with my grandparents. We went to a place in town called tornados and I didn’t know it yet, but that was the turning point. I professed to my grandparents that I was giving my life to Jesus, and there we prayed together.

What I found in Jesus was truly profound, knowing that I had a Savior from my sins. This gave me peace within and peace with God. Following Jesus means everything to me because he died on the cross for me.

My Life After Jesus Saved Me

After we prayed together that night, I went home because it was super late. I felt a sense of happiness that I professed faith in Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led me to where I am today. 1 John 4:15 says, “Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.” My rhythms have changed to giving thanks in the morning. I love to listen to worship music, especially during my commute, because it helps keep me grounded in the Spirit. I work in retail, and singing music has always been an outlet for me, and I'm glad I'm letting the Lord hear my praises every morning. I am also reading my Bible and seeking to both hear and do what God says.

If you asked me how much I've grown in the last few years after I gave my life to Christ it is abundantly clear to me that He has given me more than I can imagine. For instance, when I get depressed, I now go to a brother in Christ and share my problems after I have brought it to the lord.
