Before Jesus Changed My Life

Before Jesus changed my life, I was obsessed with worldly things like how people thought of me, sex, wearing revealing clothes, doing everything I wanted to do, not forgiving people, and judging everyone around me.

How Jesus Changed My Life

My boyfriend had brought me to church many times over the last few years, but I never really felt anything. However, one sermon in early August of this year really changed my heart, and I told my boyfriend that I really wanted to change how I was living. I wanted to live for Christ. To really be able to reclaim my faith I needed to center my relationships around God and not worldly things. And the SALT sermon about the sower and the different kinds of soils that represented different heart postures really locked that in for me. God has definitely softened my heart and I now turn to Christ for everything. I have embraced the truth of what Paul says in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Without Jesus dying for our sins, we would still be dead in our sins, but through Jesus, we have eternal life in God (2 Corinthians 5:21).

My Life After Jesus Saved Me

Since Jesus has saved me I have centered my life around God. I’m now pursuing purity in my relationship with my boyfriend. Now during times of hardship or joy, I turn to Christ. Basically in the middle of anything, good or bad, I turn to Him and live my life for Him now (Galatians 5:16-18). I know I have eternal life through Jesus because I believe he died for my sins and I repent of my sins so I know I have eternal life in God (Romans 10:9, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8-9).
